What are National Yudo Associations?

It is the goal of the International Yudo Federation (IYF) to establish an association teaching ChungTongKwan Yudo in every nation which currently teaches any of the traditional Korean martial arts, or to introduce the traditional Korean military art of Yudo into any country desirous of learning such an art.

One national Yudo association from each country will be admitted into membership in the IYF, to represent their nation in the international Yudo community. The programs of ChungTongKwan Yudo are administered in each country by its national Yudo association - its national governing body (NGB) - under the supervision of the IYF, which acts as the international governing body (IGB).  The IYF is, in turn, under the supervision of Chung Tong Yudo.

The national Yudo association for each nation is authorized to: (1) translate the standardized educational and training literature of ChungTongKwan Yudo as needed to meet its language needs; (2) conduct ChungTongKwan Yudo education and training within its nation's borders; (3) host seminars and workshops conducted by representatives of the IYF; (4) administer its own ranking system (according to ChungTongKwan Yudo  standards); and, (5) cast its nation's vote during meetings of the international governing body.
