What Is Chung Tong Yudo?

Chung Tong Yudo or "Original Style of Judo" is the art of scientific self-defense for the new millennium.  It is also the name of the "kwon" approved in the Republic of Korea in December 2000, to teach the oriental fighting art established by Kano, Jigoro Sensei during the first half of the last century. 

 The stone charter for Chung Tong Yudo was issued jointly by the ROK Yudo Association and the Korea Judo Association, of the International Judo Federation.  It was presented at Orlando, Florida, U.S.A., in April 2001, by Grandmaster Lee Seok Kyu, a Buddhist warrior monk, and past president of the Korea Judo Association.

 Chung Tong Yudo is the first officially approved international kwon of the traditional Korean military arts. It is also the only Yudo kwon created for the instruction and practice of Yudo outside the Republic of Korea.
